Felix Capital hires Lin and Shanfield
Venture capital house Felix Capital has appointed Susan Lin as a principal and Sarah Shanfield as an associate.
Lin specialises in consumer and technology companies. She joins from Hg, where she focused on software investments. Previously, she was a management consultant at Bain & Company advising private equity and growth capital funds. She has also acted as director of partner strategy at cloud app marketplace AppDirect and worked in business development at meal kit delivery service Plated.
Shanfield joins from merchant bank Raine Group where she advised and invested in technology, media and entertainment companies. Prior to Raine, Shanfield held roles in the alternative investment and manager selection group at Goldman Sachs.
London-based Felix has raised $300m across two funds since its launch in 2015. It has invested in companies such as online marketplace Farfetch, Gwyneth Paltrow's lifestyle brand Goop, media platform The Business of Fashion and online jewellery brand Mejuri.
The firm closed its Felix Capital Fund II on $150m in 2017, surpassing its $120m target.
