Beringea raises £64m for VCTs
VC firm Beringea has raised £64m across its two UK-focused VCTs: £39m for ProVen VCT and £25m for ProVen Growth & Income VCT.
The fundraise is a record for Beringea and the second largest VCT raise in the last tax year, behind Octopus Ventures, which raised £229m.
The investor has already made four investments in the UK this year, according to Unquote Data, the largest of which was leading a £9m funding round for fintech firm Access Pay.
It has also opened a Manchester office in the last year, led by former Munzinich co-head Marc Shirman.
Beringea now manages $500m across its UK and US funds.
