
LDC appoints two directors

LDC has hired Aziz Ul-Haq and promoted Dale Alderson to director in the Manchester team.
Ul-Haq will identify opportunities to expand LDC's portfolio in the north-west and will support growth for portfolio management teams. He joins from his position as partner in Deloitte's M&A advisory team, in which he advised businesses in support services, travel and energy. In his tenure at Deloitte, he also led the M&A team in the Middle East, and worked with client and investor groups in the US.
Alderson joined LDC in 2012. Prior to this appointment, he was an investment director in LDC's Yorkshire team and assisted with a number of portfolio companies, including listing Team17. He has previously held positions at EY and Deloitte.
Following these appointments, LDC's Manchester team employs nine. The firm has pledged to invest £200m in business in the north of the UK in the next year.
