
DC promotes six to managing director
DC Advisory has promoted six members of its European investment banking team to managing director.
The development sees Sebastian Daumueller, Gary Hancock, James Nichols and James Pople promoted in its London-based team, and Nicolas Cofflard and Frédéric Meyer promoted in its Paris team.
Daumueller joined the firm in 2014 from UBS and advises on M&A and growth equity transactions in the technology, media and technology-enabled spaces. He has worked on both domestic and cross-border transactions, including Hg's £1.3bn acquisition of Iris Software Group, the sale of Inspiring Learning to Bridgepoint and the sale of CloserStill to Inflexion.
Hancock has been at DC advisory for nine years. He advises private equity houses and corporates, with a particular focus on the industrial products and services spaces. Hancock has worked on transactions including HIG Capital's acquisition of Corona Corporate Solutions, Equistone's acquisition of Nylacast and the sale of Clivet to Midea. Prior to joining the firm, he was an executive at EY.
Nichols joined DC's European financial sponsors group from Credit Suisse in 2012 and advises on M&A transactions in business services and tech-enabled services. He has worked on transactions including the sale of Thomas International to Palamon, Core Equity's acquisition of Portman Healthcare, and Bridgepoint's acquisitions of Moneycorp and HKA. Prior to Credit Suisse, Nichols spent two years as an analyst at Investec.
Pople rejoined DC in 2012 after leaving to take up an associate director role on UBS Investment Bank's EMEA healthcare team in 2011. He is part of the firm's business services team and leads its activity in the education, IP services and property services spaces. Pople has advised on transactions including ICG's acquisition of Park Holidays, the sale of CPA Global to Leonard Green & Partners and Simplify Group's acquisition of My Home Move.
Cofflard joined DC advisory in 2016 as an executive director on the debt advisory team. He specialises in financing, capital markets and financial restructuring transactions, and has worked on transactions including Elivie's €360m refinancing and Omers Private Equity's acquisition of Trescal. Prior to joining DC he worked at Societe Generale and RBS.
Meyer has been with DC for 14 years and advises private equity houses and corporate clients, with a particular focus on transactions in the healthcare space. Prior to joining the firm he was an analyst at BNP Paribas. He has worked on transactions including the sale of Technology & Strategy to Ardian and the merger of hospital operators Almaviva Santé and Domus Clinique.
