Law firm Debevoise & Plimpton has promoted Cécile Beurrier to the position of partner.
Beurrier's promotion is effective from 1 July 2019. She is a member of the firm's tax department in London focusing on corporate and transactional matters, and specialises in advising private equity funds.
Beurrier advises sponsors of private equity, debt, secondaries, emerging markets and other fund strategies on structuring and ongoing operational matters. In addition, she assists sponsors and investors with traditional and complex secondaries transactions, including GP-led fund restructurings, end-of-life fund recapitalisations and a variety of other fund liquidity solutions. Beurrier works with the firm's private equity and institutional clients on the tax aspects of M&A, corporate finance and capital markets transactions.
Beurrier joined the firm as a tax associate in 2000 and now works with clients in the US, Europe and Asia. This promotion is one of six across the firm's New York and London offices.
