Sidley hires Proskauer partner

In her role, Shanks will cover private equity and corporate transactions such as cross-border acquisitions, disposals, shareholder arrangements, managed equity plans and co-investments.

Shanks began her career at Norton Rose Fulbright as a trainee solicitor and moved to Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher as an associate. She later joined Dentons and was made a partner in the firm's corporate and private equity practice before joining Proskauer.

Sidley employs 90 transaction lawyers in their London and Munich teams.
