AnaCap hires NN's Verret
NN Investment Partnersт head of private debt, Eric Verret, has moved to a private equity job at AnaCap Financial Partners.
Verret will be a managing director at the European financial services-focused investment firm, which alongside private equity also runs a credit opportunities business.
It is not clear how Verret's responsibilities at NNIP will be reassigned. Based in London, he managed NNIP's €3bn private debt portfolio and team from October 2017. He was responsible for deal origination and structuring/underwriting.
The NNIP portfolio comprised illiquid investment grade as well as non-investment grade corporate credit, notably in the form of direct lending. Its holdings ranged from the debt of corporate and small and medium-size enterprises, to asset-backed financing, loan portfolio financing and non-performing loan securitisations.
Before joining NNIP, Verret headed the special investments group at GE Capital in London. He worked at that firm for 13 years, in various locations, during which he helped launch a business financing the acquisition of loan portfolios by financial sponsors. He also oversaw GE Capital's legacy NPL portfolios in Italy and Asia.
Verret was a capital markets lawyer at Clifford Chance in London from 2000 to 2002, before which he worked at various law firms in Canada.
