Rothschild & Co acquires Livingstone's UK business
Financial advisory firm Rothschild & Co has acquired Livingstone's UK operations.
Livingstone will be part of the Rothschild & Co group and will be run separately by its seven current partners, while benefiting from full access to the resources and international infrastructure of Rothschild & Co.
Livingstone specialises in providing M&A, debt and special situations advice to privately owned companies across the UK lower-mid-market segment.
Livingstone was founded in 1976, has offices in Beijing, Chicago, Düsseldorf, Los Angeles, Madrid and Stockholm, and focuses on five segments: business services, consumer, healthcare, industrial, and media and technology. It advises on an average of 75 transactions annually.
With this acquisition, Rothschild & Co intends to further strengthen and broaden its offering in the UK lower-mid-market, following the establishment of its franchise in the same segment of the French market.
Rothschild & Co's business focuses on mid-market and large-cap transactions for both public and private corporates, as well as financial sponsors, sovereign wealth funds, and family-controlled businesses. The firm has a network of 50 offices in more than 40 countries.
