
Head of global PE to leave Aberdeen Standard Investments
Graham McDonald, head of global private equity at Aberdeen Standard Investments, has announced his departure from the investor.
McDonald will formally leave his position in May 2020, though he will stop acting for the business in early 2020.
McDonald led the global private equity business as part of the private markets division of Aberdeen Standard Investments and was responsible for a team of 50 investment professionals.
He joined as global head of private equity in March 2014, leading teams in both Edinburgh and London. Prior to this, McDonald was the managing director for private equity at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership. He also worked as managing director for fund investments at Lloyds Banking Group, and before that was head of fund investments and director of structured finance at Bank of Scotland.
Aberdeen Standard Investments' global private equity business invests and manages positions across primary funds, secondary funds and co-investments in both private equity and venture capital. The business has around $18bn in assets under management.
