Squire Patton Boggs hires three in PE team
Law firm Squire Patton Boggs has hired Stephen Ball, Charles Leeming and Ben Squires in its private equity team.
The three partners will join the London office and will work with the firm's corporate and financial services teams globally. The UK private equity team is led by corporate partner Paul Mann.
Beginning his career at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, where he worked in the firm's London and Tokyo offices, Leeming joined Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in London in 2013. He previously acted for KKR on its acquisition of Unilever's global spreads business, and for Blackstone and Refinitiv on the sale of the company to the London Stock Exchange.
Squires began his career at Macfarlanes, later joining Simpson Thacher as an associate in 2015. He previously acted for KKR on the disposal of LGC to Cinven and Astorg, and advised Silver Lake on its take-private of ZPG.
Ball joins from KPMG where he was a global lead client partner. He joined the company in 2011 and, prior to that, worked at Slaughter and May and Linklaters.
