
Angel CoFund appoints Octopus's Whitehead and Cole
The Angel CoFund has appointed George Whitehead and Alliott Cole as partner and non-executive director, respectively.
Whitehead joins from Octopus Ventures, where he was a venture partner manager. He has served as non-executive chairman of the Angel CoFund since 2011. Prior to joining Octopus in 2011, Whitehead was a director at the UK Business Angels Association and a business development director at Nesta Investments.
Cole will retain his position as CEO of Octopus. He also currently serves as a board member at Secret Escapes, Cazoo and Big Health. Prior to joining Octopus, Cole was an associate with Ashurst.
The Angel CoFund has completed more than £50m in total investments since its launch in 2011. Portfolio companies include Gousto, Form3 and Hopster, and recent exits include Limejump, Ebury and CityPantry.
