
Draper Esprit hires investment director in London
Venture capital firm Draper Esprit has appointed Christoph Hornung as an investment director in London.
Hornung will focus on consumer internet, financial services and online marketplaces.
He joins from Next Sports Rights, a digital platform managing fan data in the sports and entertainment industry, where he was the CEO for more than five and a half years.
Prior to that, he was an investment manager for SevenVentures for just over a year. He also spent nearly two years as a co-founder and managing director at Rocket Internet, a European incubator and investment company in Berlin.
Draper Esprit develops and invests in high-growth technology companies. It is a shareholder in companies including Trustpilot, UiPath, Transferwise and Graphcore.
The VC recently led a £83m funding round for banking technology company Thought Machine.
