Legal & General promotes Fitzpatrick to managing director
Legal & General Capital (LGC) has promoted Jasan Fitzpatrick as managing director of principal investment.
Fitzpatrick will be responsible for the firm's investments in venture capital and SME finance, among other investment schemes.
A focus for the business under his leadership will be giving access to the venture capital asset class for defined-contribution customers, while creating an asset portfolio that complements Legal & General Investment Management's investment strategy and supports the growth of Legal & General's retirement arm.
Fitzpatrick is also expected to explore new ways to deploy capital and enhance returns across alternative-asset capabilities.
Fitzpatrick joined LGC in July 2018 from CALA Group. He was previously general counsel and company secretary at Premium Credit, a finance business owned by Cinven, and general counsel and company secretary at Northern Rock.
