Caledonia Private Capital hires Lazard's Corner
Caledonia Private Capital, the private equity investment arm of Caledonia Investments, has appointed Giles Corner as a director.
Corner joined the firm from Lazard's corporate finance division, where he worked for 16 years advising clients across a range of sectors, and where he developed and led the firm's UK mid-market private equity team.
Caledonia Private Capital invests equity tickets in the £25-100m range for majority and minority stakes in European private companies operating in a wide range of industries.
Its current portfolio includes DSE, a manufacturer of precision engine and generator controls; investment house Cobehold; and UK-based Buzz Bingo, among others.
Caledonia Investments is a self-managed investment trust listed on the London Stock Exchange with net assets of approximately £2.2bn. The firm manages a concentrated portfolio of international listed and private investments.
