
Searchlight appoints Crowston as special adviser
Searchlight Capital Partners has appointed Andrew Crowston as senior adviser.
Crowston joins Searchlight from Novalpina Capital, where he was a partner working on its private equity and special situations fund.
Crowston began his career at Citicorp International in 1997 where he helped launch the company's European distressed debt investing and trading business. He then moved to Goldman Sachs International, where he was co-head of the European distressed team and head of sales and sourcing, before joining ADM Capital Europe as a partner, where he executed credit transactions across Europe.
He later joined UBS International as managing director of the group's EMEA distressed debt and high-yield trading desk. More recently, Andrew has worked with TJP Partners, where he advised central banks in CEE on non-performing loan strategy, and Davidson Kempner Partners where he led the distressed origination business for Europe.
Searchlight is currently raising for its Searchlight Capital III fund, which held a first close on $2.75bn in July 2019.
