Inflexion donates £2.5m to support Coronavirus relief
UK mid-market private equity firm Inflexion has announced it is donating £2.5m to help various charities as they fight the coronavirus outbreak.
The GP, via the Inflexion Foundation, has donated £2m to the National Emergencies Trust, which is raising funds for local organisations that can provide vital support to people in the quickest way possible.
It has also donated £250,000 to Turn2Us, a national charity helping people faced with financial difficulty to get back on track, and £125,000 each to performing arts venue Roundhouse and The British Exploring Society, to support them through this period.
Inflexion launched its foundation in 2018 and donates 1% of its profits from funds to the organisation.
The GP also highlighted the work of some of its portfolio companies, including PharmaSpectra – a developer of scientific dissemination data and analytics software – which is providing its coronavirus database free of charge; and pet supplements maker Lintbells, which is lending its office space to a charity that helps provide food to NHS workers.
