NPIF allocates £23.7m to Maven
Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund (NPIF) has allocated a further £23.7m to Maven Capital Partners.
The capital will be deployed through Maven's NPIF North West Equity Fund, which provides early-stage, venture capital and debt refinancing equity and debt capital to SMEs across northern England, and has £57.5m in deployable capital. To date, the fund has invested £33m and NPIF has seen one exit: the sale of ITS Technology to Aviva Investors in January 2020.
Regions the fund invests in include Cheshire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Merseyside, but Yorkshire & Humber and the Tees Valley are also considered. It can invest between £50,000-2m in businesses looking for growth finance to help drive their expansion plans.
The British Business Bank's NPIF is supported financially by the European Union using funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020 and the European Investment Bank.
