
Spectrum appoints Patey
Spectrum Corporate Finance has appointed Alex Patey to the position of lead advisory director.
He will be based in London. In his role at Spectrum, Patey will be responsible for deal origination and supporting buyer identification. He will work with stakeholders on project strategy and managing the process through to completion.
Patey qualified as a chartered accountant with BDO in 2012, while working with the firm as a corporate finance executive. In 2013, he joined Clearwater International as an assistant director, where he worked on deal collaborations between member firms in their global network, before rejoining BDO as a director focused on the lifestyle and wellbeing sector.
During his career, Patey has worked on transactions including advising toy store company The Entertainer on the acquisition of Early Learning Centre from Mothercare; providing buy-side advice to Inflexion Private Equity on the acquisition of global medical data company Pharmaspectra; advising stakeholders of Gymbox on BGF's investment in the business; and advising on the sale of On The Go Tours to Alcuin PE, and the sale of Olivia Burton to Movada.
This is Spectrum's seventh hire in the past 10 months, according to a statement.
