Silverfleet's Ashton leaves position as partner

Silverfleet Capital's Kay Ashton has left her position as partner.
She joined the firm in 1992 and focused on investor relations and portfolio management activities during her tenure. She was involved in a number of deals, the most recent of which was the firm's investment in fund administrator Ipes, which was sold to Apex in 2018.
Ashton will continue to act as a consultant to Silverfleet and as a non-executive director at portfolio company Sigma, a component supplier serving the global commercial aerospace sector.
Recently, Ashton has been actively involved as a mentor on the Level 20 programme, encouraging more gender diversity in the private equity industry, and plans to continue this in addition to mentoring some of Silverfleet's female executives, according to a statement.
