
Rede Partners appoints Ellul as chairman
Placement agent firm Rede Partners has announced the appointment of Eric Ellul as chairman, as of July 2020.
The hire remains subject to FCA approval, according to a statement. Ellul's role as chairman will comprise supporting Rede's strategic decision-making and its continued growth.
Ellul joins from the Boston Consulting Group, where he had worked for more than 30 years, most recently as a senior partner and managing director. He has headed the firm's global principal investor and private equity practice since 2011. Ellul will continue as a senior adviser for the firm.
Ellul also serves as executive director on the boards of Cerba Healthcare, backed by Partners Group and Canadian pension fund Public Sector Pension Investment Board, and PAI Partners' M Group Services.
Rede also announced the appointment of Etiene Ekpo-Utip as associate principal in its London office, alongside Matthew Zuckerman, who will be based in the US. Both will join the firm as associate principals. Ekpo-Utip joins from Acanthus and previously worked at Lazard and Credit Suisse, while Zuckerman has prior experience at Fair Oaks Capital and Goldman Sachs.
