
Ontario Teachers' hires Nick Jansa from Deutsche Bank
Canadian LP Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan has appointed Nick Jansa to the position of senior managing director for EMEA.
Based in London, Jansa will report to chief investment officer Ziad Hindo and will lead investment activities and portfolio management in EMEA.
He joins from Deutsche Bank, where he spent more than 24 years, going on to become managing director, co-head of corporate finance EMEA and finally the global co-head of leveraged debt capital markets.
Jansa specialises as both capital allocator and principal investor, having built strong European knowledge and networks on the buy and sell side.
At the same time, the LP has promoted Ben Chan to the role of senior managing director for Asia-Pacific. Chan joined Teachers' in 2018 and has been responsible for growing investment activities in Asia, attracting talent to the region, and overseeing the opening of the LP's Singapore office.
Headquartered in Toronto, Teachers' has C$204.7bn in net assets. Its Asia-Pacific regional offices are in Hong Kong and Singapore, and its EMEA office is in London.
