ICG appoints Laurant as co-head of special situations
Intermediate Capital Group (ICG) has appointed Lionel Laurant as managing director and co-head of special situations.
He has also been named as co-portfolio manager for the firm's Recovery Fund II. The fund was announced in July 2020 with a target of €1bn and is still raising, according to Unquote Data.
Laurant previously worked at Pimco, where he founded and ran the European credit opportunities platform and was co-chair of its investment committee.
Prior to Pimco, he was a managing director at Bayside Capital for seven years, where he played a key role in establishing its European investment platform, according to a statement. Laurant previously worked at Barclays Capital, Bank of America and Morgan Stanley in a range of special situations, private equity and investment banking roles.
