
BlackRock in talks to buy Aquila Heywood for £350m – report
BlackRock is in advanced negotiations to acquire Aquila Heywood for £350m, according to a report by Sky News.
The Aquila Heywood auction had BlackRock Private Equity and Macquarie in the second round, sources told Unquote sister publication Mergermarket.
The purchase would be made by the New York City-based private equity firm's Long Term Private Capital fund, which held a first close on $2.75bn. The fund has a target of $12bn. The evergreen fund targets US-based and European companies as a passive investor.
Aquila Heywood is a UK-based pensions administration software company. It generated revenue of £32.4m in the year ending in April 2020.
Rothschild is advising Aquila Heywood on the transaction.
