
NorthEdge announces senior appointments, promotions
Lower-mid-market GP NorthEdge has made a series of appointments and promotions across its Manchester and Leeds offices.
NorthEdge partner Prem Mohan Raj has been promoted to chief operating officer. He joined the company in 2016 and will now be responsible for investor relations and fundraising alongside his responsibilities for finance, operations and marketing.
The GP also promoted head of business transformation Lucy Mills to the role of director. She joined the firm in 2019 and will continue to work across the GP's portfolio businesses to support their growth plans.
The PE firm has appointed John Hammond and Kathy Hobbs as director and head of ESG, respectively. In his new role, Hammond will be responsible for managing investments and driving value creation, while Hobbs will be responsible for strengthening ESG initiatives across the firm and the portfolio.
In Leeds, NorthEdge has promoted Nicola McQuaid and Mani Minhas to the roles of director and investment director, respectively. McQuaid joined NorthEdge in 2016 and sits on the board of video gaming company Catalis, furniture business Belfield, home décor company Arthouse and international stairlift manufacturer Platinum Stairlifts, while Minhas sits on the board of Sunderland's Clearly Drinks and was involved in the investment in e-commerce retailer Lights4Fun last year.
The GP, established in 2009, manages £900m in funds, and is currently deploying its NorthEdge Fund III, which held a final close on £250m in December 2020.
