Four-strong Rhône Capital team leaves to form new firm
RhУДne Capital's Gianpiero Lenza, SУЉbastien Mazella di Bosco, Petter Johnsson and Vincenzo Narciso have left the firm; they intend to form a new independent entity, a source familiar with the situation told Unquote.
The resignation of the three London-based managing directors and principal Narciso was announced at Rhône's AGM on Wednesday 9 June, the same source said.
The team worked on Rhône deals including the GP's minority investment in Illycaffe in November 2020, as well as the acquisition of a majority stake in pool and spa equipment producer Zodiac in 2016; Zodiac was merged with market peer Fluidra in 2017.
Johnsson joined the firm in 2002 and was promoted to managing director in 2008.
Lenza and Mazella di Bosco had each worked at Rhône for more than 15 years; Lenza had been a managing director for more than 10 years, while Mazella di Bosco acquired the role in 2013.
Narciso joined Rhône in 2020 and was a principal responsible for investor relations.
Rhône was founded in 1996 and opened its London office in 2001. The firm has eight managing directors, according to its website, with additional offices in New York and Madrid.
