Squire Patton Boggs launches new funds practice in London
Law firm Squire Patton Boggs has launched a new funds practice in London, headed by new partner Steven Ward.
Ward joins from Paul Hastings; he joined the firm in 2018 as an associate, following a two-year stint at Latham & Watkins.
The practice will focus on the formation, operation and regulation of private investment funds and their operators, targeting the full range of asset classes, including private equity, hedge, debt, infrastructure and venture capital, Squire Patton Boggs said in a statement.
Ward's team will act for sponsors, investors, lenders, placement agents and other related parties. Ward also has experience of advising sponsors on the regulatory implications and requirements, of global fundraising campaigns.
