Bowmark hires AnaCap's Hollowood
Bowmark Capital has hired Ben Hollowood as portfolio director, expanding its portfolio management and value creation team.
Hollowood spent eight years with AnaCap Financial Partners prior to joining Bowmark. In his role as managing director, he provided strategic and operational support to AnaCap's portfolio companies. Hollowood also has experience with Bain & Company and LEK Consulting.
The announcement follows six appointments to Bowmark's investment, portfolio and origination teams made by the GP in July 2021, as reported.
Bowmark is currently deploying equity via Bowmark Capital Partners VI, which held a final close in January 2019 on GBP 600m. The fund generally invests GBP 50m-70m per deal, targeting UK-based services and technology businesses with valuations of up to GBP 250m.
The GP launched the first vehicle in its growth strategy towards the end of Q1 2021. Bowmark declined to comment on the fundraise when approached by Unquote.
Bowmark's recent activity includes the sale of private education provider Oxford Education Group in a dual transaction that saw the company's online learning and languages businesses undergo an MBO backed by THI Investments, while its schools division was sold to Nord Anglia Education.
The GP acquired alcoholic beverage market data and analysis provider IWSR in an SBO from FPE Capital in February 2021. The GP has also made add-ons for portfolio companies Totalmobile and Lawyers on Demand since the start of the year.
