
ECI hires Sawlani as investment manager

ECI Partners has hired Sarthak Sawlani as an investment manager.
Sawlani joins from Oakley Advisory, where he was an associate director. Prior to this, he was a senior associate in PwC's TMT corporate finance team.
The firm simultaneously announced the appointment of Sarah Zarywacz as events executive in its marketing team.
The GP held a final close for ECI 11 in July 2018 on GBP 700m. ECI invests in UK-based, medium-sized companies with enterprise values of between GBP 20m and GBP 300m, focusing on technology, media, telecommunications, business services, consumer, industrials and healthcare. The fund deploys average equity tickets of GBP 45m, according to Unquote Data.
ECI's recent activity includes the acquisition of home insurance provider Avantia Group from its ECI 9 fund, netting a gross money multiple of more than 3x. The GP sold digital corporate communications company Investis to Investcorp in March 2021, reaping a 2.6x return on its investment. The GP had acquired the company in a GBP 50m SBO from Gresham Private Equity in 2014.
