
Stirling makes two senior hires
Stirling Square Capital Partners has made two senior appointments, hiring Toni Gillespie as chief of talent and Elisabetta Ricci as chief of staff.
Gillespie joins Stirling from AMP Capital. She has prior experience at UBS, Credit Suisse and Bridgepoint. In her new role, she will be responsible for recruitment and developing human capital within the firm, as well as management development in Stirling's portfolio companies.
Ricci has previous experience at Goldman Sachs, TowerBrook and CDPQ. In her role as chief of staff, she will focus on the improvement of Stirling's internal capabilities and operations.
Both Gillespie and Ricci will be based in London.
Stirling is currently deploying equity via Stirling Square Capital Partners IV, which held a final close in January 2020 on GBP 950m. The fund invests in pan-European mid-market businesses with enterprise values of EUR 50-500m.
The vehicle has made seven platform investments to date, the latest of which was its reinvestment in Itelyum alongside Deutsche Beteiligungs AG in August 2021.
