
Grant Thornton hires new head of corporate debt advisory
Grant Thornton UK has announced the appointment of George Fieldhouse as head of its corporate finance debt advisory team.
Fieldhouse will accelerate the growth plans of the firm's corporate finance debt advisory. His responsibilities will include heading up business development, executing deals and growing the firm's presence across London and the rest of the UK.
Fieldhouse brings with him 16 years of deals experience in consultancy firms. According to LinkedIn, he was previously on the debt and capital advisory private equity team of Deloitte for five years, at DC Advisory for almost two years, and prior to that was at PwC for 13 years, six years of which were in the debt and capital advisory team.
A press release noted that Fieldhouse has advised on GBP 5bn's worth of debt capital to support refinancings, leveraged buyouts, growth capital, recapitalisations, restructurings and debt renegotiations.
Grant Thornton recently ran the sale process of Sovereign's Paragon Skills earlier this month, as reported. The firm also advised the now Intriva-backed Sequence Care Group on its sale process back in 2020, as reported.
