Beringea promotes three to partner

VC firm Beringea has announced the promotion of Maria Wagner, Vanessa Evanson-Goddard and Eyal Malinger to partner.
Alongside investment strategy and fundraising, the new partners will support work with Beringea's portfolio of more than 60 early-stage companies, the firm said in a statement. Beringea now has a team of more than 30 across its offices in London and Detroit, with USD 750m under management.
Malinger and Wagner have been members of Beringea's investment committee for more than five years; they will focus on sourcing deals across the UK, as well as working with portfolio companies through to exit.
Wagner joined Beringea in 2015. She previously worked at McKinsey and Goldman Sachs in New York, Virgin Group in London, and she was also the UK managing director of Birchbox, a beauty subscription and e-commerce business.
Eyal Malinger, Beringea
Malinger joined Beringea in 2016, and has since focused on work with SaaS, artificial intelligence and "deep-tech" businesses. He has previously worked at McKinsey and Oaktree Capital.
Vanessa Evanson-Goddard, Beringea
Evanson-Goddard's role as partner and general counsel will include overseeing legal, compliance, finance and operations in Beringea's UK office. She joined the firm in 2019, after more than 15 years in both private practice and in-house roles at firms including Reed Smith and specialist tech fund Breed Reply.
