Inflexion appoints ESG director

Mid-market private equity firm Inflexion has announced it will hire Jennie Galbraith in the new role of ESG Director.
In a statement, the GP said the appointment of Galbraith highlights its commitment to sustainability and ESG. Furthermore, it claims to have reduced its flying-related emissions by becoming the first UK corporate to purchase sustainably sourced aviation fuel.
Galbraith has 20 years of experience in championing sustainability across various roles, according to the statement. In her most recent role, she was group head of ESG at British American Tobacco for 10 years and international sustainability manager for over 6 years. Prior to that, she was the corporate responsibility manager at the Co-operative Group for 3 years, according to LinkedIn. Galbraith has received plaudits from HRH Prince Charles and received a “Game Changer” award in recognition of her sustainability efforts.
A spokesperson for Inflexion told Unquote: "ESG is integrated into our investment process. We conduct environmental due diligence with the support of a variety of third parties."
ESG has become embedded in deal-making, due diligence and fundraising processes for many GP’s. Recent ESG and sustainability-related appointments in the European PE market include Ashim Paun of Triton, as reported.
Inflexion’s latest fund is Inflexion Buyout Fund VI which launched in March 2021 with a target of GBP 2bn. The vehicle will focus on investing in the business, financial service, consumer, healthcare, education, industrial and technology sectors, according to Unquote Data.
