Perwyn hires partner from BGF

Perwyn, a UK-based family-backed private and growth equity investor, has appointed Gurinder Sunner as a partner.
Sunner joins from BGF, where he worked for over 10 years, having led the sponsor's investment team in the Midlands and Milton Keynes. He was also a member of the BGF investment committee.
During his tenure at BGF, he led over 20 transactions including exits and investments such as Chase Distillery and ReRebound Returns.
Previously, he worked at BDO on distressed transactions and corporate finance. He started off his career as a chartered accountant at KPMG.
Recent deals Perwyn has been involved in include a EUR 10m investment in UK-based Secret Sales in June 2021, and the buyout of Poland-based SalesMango in November 2021 alongside Silver Tree Equity, according to Unquote Data.
In an interview with Unquote's sister publication Mergermarket last year, Perwyn said it was looking to further expand its presence in continental Europe with more than GBP 200m to invest in deals across its private equity and growth capital strategies.
