Montagu bolsters senior leadership team with two hires
Healthcare and tech-focused private equity firm Montagu has made two new hires to its senior leadership team in London. Louise Denning joins as CFO and Tim Cochrane as head of the full potential partners (FPP), Montagu’s team of operational partners.
Denning, who starts at the new firm in April, was previously CFO at C. Hoare & Co for two years. Prior to this, she was Deputy CFO at Tetragon Financial Group for four years. According to a press release, Denning will be succeeding Graham Hislop, who is retiring after 18 years as finance director.
Cochrane joins from Bain & Company, where he was a senior partner in the London-based private equity team for 17 years. Previously, he was at Exxon Mobil Corporation for five years. Starting in May, he will take over from Mark Dunfoy, who will focus on investments, the portfolio and board roles, according to a press release.
Montagu is currently deploying Montagu VI, which closed on EUR 3.5bn in Q2 2020, according to Unquote Data. The fund was launched with a EUR 3bn target and a EUR 3.5bn hard-cap in July 2019. The vehicle seeks to make controlling investments in Europe-based companies and targets a 20% gross IRR and 2.0 MOIC.
