
Aztec Group appoints new chair to board

Aztec Group has named Kathryn Purves as its new board chair as Patrick Gale steps down at the end of the current financial year following his five-year tenure at the company.
Aztec Group, a fund and corporate services provier, has appointed Kathryn Purves as its new board chair as Patrick Gale steps down at the end of the current financial year following his five-year tenure in the role.
Purves has been a non-executive director since 2020 and will start her new role on 1 April. She is currently on Aztec’s Risk and Audit Committee and in her time on the board.
She is also a non-executive director at James Hay Partnership and Intermediate Capital Group, according to her LinkedIn profile.
During Gale’s tenure at Aztec Group, he has advised on moves into new markets and jurisdictions as well as investments.
Aztec Group was established in 2001 and provides independent corporate and fund services, with expertise in areas such as alternative investments, administering more than EUR 440bn assets under administration, and clients in asset classes including private equity and venture capital. It has more than 1,600 employees across Europe and the US.
