EY to bolster PE offering with USD 1bn investment
Advisory firm EY has announced that it is to invest USD 1bn to expand its private equity offering; the firm also announced the appointment of Bridget Walsh as its Global Private Equity Leader.
The investment will take place over four years and is expected to help build the firm’s capabilities in value creation and portfolio transformation, as well as transaction deal leadership services.
EY said in a statement that it sees an attractive opportunity to grow its PE capabilities in a growing market that is raising increasing amounts of capital and employing an ever greater number of people.
Walsh’s appointment will be effective as of 1 July 2022. She was previously EY’s EMEIA managing partner for its tax team and has around 20 years of experience with EY. She sits on EY’s Global Tax Executive Board and the EY Global Practice Group.
