Schroders Capital hires head of private credit from Federated Hermes

Private asset manager Schroders Capital has appointed Mark Bruen as head of private credit solutions in London.
Bruen joins the firm from Federated Hermes, where he was the head of fixed income solutions. During his tenure at the company, which spanned over nine years, he was responsible for developing bespoke investment solutions across the firm’s private, public, multi-asset credit, and sustainable fixed income capabilities.
Previously, Bruen held positions at BlackRock, as head of EMEA iShares strategy, and started his career at Accenture as a business consultant, according to LinkedIn.
Bruen will focus on delivering income-oriented solutions. He will report to David Seex, Schroders' head of private asset.
According to a press release, Schroders has seen an increase in client demand for multi-private investments, and so it created this new role.
The firm launched Schroders Capital Private Equity Global Innovation Management XI in May 2022, which is expected to follow the same strategy as its USD 152.63m predecessor vehicle, as reported.
