
Hogan Lovells hires Linklaters’ Livesey in London office

US-headquartered law firm Hogan Lovells has hired John Livesey from Linklaters, bolstering its global private equity practice with a fresh partner hire in its London team.
Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Livesey spent 14 years with Linklaters, advising private equity clients on deals in sectors including infrastructure, financial institutions and retail. He has advised on private equity deals including Hellman & Friedman’s acquisition of Scout24 in 2019.
During his time at Linklaters, Livesey spent four years in the firm’s Madrid office, according to a press release.
In his new role, Livesey will work alongside global corporate and finance practice head James Doyle, as well as secondaries practice leaders Ed Harris and Leanne Moezi.
Hogan Lovells has more than 150 lawyers, with 18 European offices. The firm’s recent hires in its PE practice include Danielle du Bois-Buné from Allen & Overy, who joined its Amsterdam office in May 2021. Christoph Naumann joined the firm’s Frankfurt office from Watson Farley & Williams in December 2021.
