Houlihan Lokey poaches Hepberger to bolster healthcare team
Houlihan Lokey has poached Rainer Hepberger from William Blair to join its healthcare team in London.
Hepberger, who joins as managing director, worked on William Blair's healthcare desk for nine years, broken up by an interlude at Raymond James between 2018-2020.
He brings particular advisory expertise on the global medtech sector, healthcare distribution, and outsourcing, said Houlihan Lokey in a statement.
The bank's European healthcare team is led by Paul Tomasic and now stands at 20 professionals, making it one of the largest dedicated healthcare teams in Europe, it said.
Hepberger has advised on more than 50 M&A transactions across Benelux, DACH, the UK, Scandinavia, Spain, and Israel, according to the same statement
Recent sellside processes managed by Houlihan Lokey include Hg's exit of software developer Medifox Dan to trade for EUR 950m and the sale of founder-owned 18 Week Support to Summit Partners.
It also advised on the buyside on Inflexion's buyout of Irish CMO Steripack and Astorg's acquisition of CordenPharma from International Chemical Investors.
