NorthEdge appoints Grant Berry as executive chair
Lower mid-market sponsor NorthEdge has promoted Grant Berry to executive chair amid a series of changes in its leadership team.
Michael Joseph, who joined as chair in 2010, is stepping down and moving to a senior adviser role on a part-time basis, continuing to support NorthEdge with guidance and his expertise, according to a press release.

Berry, a co-founder of NorthEdge, will chair the investment committee and be active in new investment activity and investor relations. Berry was previously a managing director at LDC for over eight years.

Other changes in the leadership team include Keven Parker's move into a joint managing partner position alongside Ray Stenton, with Jon Pickering taking on the role of chief investment officer.

The changes will support the GPs next phase of growth, according to a press release. The announcements follow the promotions of Phil Frame and Lucie Mills to partner earlier this year, as reported.
NorthEdge is deploying equity via NorthEdge III, a GBP 250m fund, which closed in December 2020, according to Unquote Data. The sponsor has GBP 900m AUM across four regionally focused funds with 27 businesses in its portfolio.
