Livingbridge appoints new head of services

Mid-market sponsor Livingbridge has promoted investment director Matt Jacobs to head of services to oversee the team sector’s strategy out of its London office.
Jacobs has taken leading roles in several investments including UK-based Carousel Logistics, a fourth party logistics operator in which the GP invested in 2013, and cybersecurity provider Adarma, backed by the firm since 2019, according to a press release. He sits on the board of Quorum Cyber, an Edinburgh-based managed security services provider, in which the sponsor invested in January 2022.
Prior to joining Livingbridge, Jacobs was a senior business analyst at Sainsbury’s for over two years and before that a senior associate at PwC in the transaction services team for four years, according to his LinkedIn profile.
In a statement, Livingbridge partner Dan Smith said “services has been our largest and most active sector team over the last 20 years.” The GP has 14 service companies in its portfolio and has made more than 50 services investments over the last 20 years. Recent deals include Imagesound, a digital media service provider, acquired in May 2022 from ECI, and Waste Services Group, a provider of waste management solutions for Australian businesses, acquired in 2022.
Livingbridge is deploying equity through funds including Livingbridge 7, which held an interim close at USD 1.2bn (EUR 1.15bn) in May 2021. The vehicle targets UK-based SMEs with enterprise values of up to GBP 300m, deploying equity tickets of up to GBP 150m in high-growth, according to Unquote Data.
