Inflexion hires new head of financial services from Cinven

London-based GP Inflexion has hired Andrea Bertolini as head of financial services from Cinven, alongside making new appointments into its Benelux and Northern England teams.
Bertolini spent 12 years at Cinven, most recently as senior principal.
Inflexion has six financial services investments within its current portfolio, including fund administration business Ocorian, which it acquired in 2016, and corporate insurance broker DR&P.
The GP has invested over GBP 750m in the sector across 14 businesses, realising eight investments with an average return of 3.6x.
Recently, Inflexion sold wealth management group Succession Wealth to Aviva for over 3x money.
The sponsor has also appointed Daan Gankema as an investment director based in Amsterdam, where he will focus on origination and value-creation within the portfolio in the Benelux. He joins from mid-market private equity firm Parcom Capital.
Its other hire is Rob Dunnett, which joins as investment director based in Manchester after 15 years at Rothschild as managing director. He will focus on origination and execution across the North of England, with a particular focus on Yorkshire and the North East.
