
Bowmark bolsters investment team with two hires

Mid-market sponsor Bowmark Capital is bolstering its investment team with the hiring of Laura Clayfield as investment manager and Raj Mukherji as investment executive.
Previously, Clayfield was an investment manager at PE investor Chiltern Capital, where she focused on business services and technology sector transactions. Prior to that, she was an M&A advisor at Jamieson Corporate Finance, according to a press release.

Before joining Bowmark, Mukherji was at London-based SME investor Addition Capital working on a variety of transactions and supporting portfolio companies with their growth strategies. Previously, he was a consultant in Boston Consulting Group’s private equity practice, according to the press release.

Last year, Bowmark hired Olly Bee, who joined from Sovereign Capital, and Rory Pickard, who joined from KPMG’s corporate finance team.

The firm is investing from Bowmark Capital Partners VI, which closed on GBP 600m in January 2019, according to Unquote Data. Recent deals include the investments in Ireland-based Xperience, an IT services company, in November 2022, and in UK-based Littlefish, a managed IT services provider acquired from LDC in August 2022.
Mergermarket reported in September 2022 that Bowmark is preparing an exit from portfolio company ASK4, an internet and data services provider.
Over the last 12 months, the London-based GP has made four new investments, supported 10 bolt-on acquisitions and completed exits with a combined value of GBP 2.2bn, according to the press release.
