WestBridge adds two to investment team

UK-based lower mid-market GP WestBridge has announced the appointment of Jessica Ledger and Luke Gilbert as investment executives to support deal origination, execution and portfolio management.
Ledger joins from Investec, where she gained experience in fintech and ecommerce deals. She advised growth companies on primary and secondary capital raises during her time at the investment bank, according to a press release.
Gilbert has joined WestBridge from the industrials team at Stephens. He has experience in advising corporates, as well as founder-owned and private equity-backed businesses, according to the press release.
WestBridge is currently deploying equity via its second fund, which held a final close in July 2019 on its GBP 140m hard-cap and was 91% deployed as of June 2022, according to Unquote Data. It has made 10 platform deals to date.
The GP invests in growing UK-based SMEs with EBITDA of GBP 2m-GBP 6m and enterprise values of up to GBP 60m, deploying equity tickets of GBP 10m-GBP 30m.
Since its foundation, WestBridge has made eight realisations from its two funds, half of which have delivered a return of more than 4x, with 65% generating a return of more than 3x, the firm said in the same press release.
