BDO's Barraclough joins Clearwater

James Barraclough has joined Clearwater International as a partner to lead the firm's financial services team.

Barraclough spent nine years with BDO, where he led the company's financial services M&A team. Previously, he worked for Ford Campbell and PwC.

Notable deals that Barraclough has worked on include Accel Partners' €22m investment in World Remit and Palatine Private Equity's acquisition of Wealth at Work from LDC.

In his new role, Barraclough will work with mid-market firms, focusing on the debt management, wealth management and insurance sectors.
