Omers appoints MD in London office
Omers Private Equity has appointed Jonathan Musselwhite as a managing director in its London office.
Musselwhite has more than 18 years' experience in private equity, having previously worked at pan-European mid-market private equity firm Cognetas. He co-founded the company in 2001 and worked there until 2012, co-leading the London office from 2009.
Prior to Cognetas, Musselwhite was an investment manager at Electra Fleming, where he was involved in buyout transactions. He was promoted to director in 1999. From 1990-1994 he advised on M&A transactions and early-stage equity fundraising at Arthur Andersen.
He has also served on a number of portfolio company boards and has been non-executive director at Morrison Utility Services since April 2008.
The private equity arm of the Canadian pension fund has completed five transactions since establishing its London office in 2009, totalling $1.3bn. In June last year, Omers PE and Alberta Investment Management Corporation bought Vue Entertainment from Doughty Hanson in a £935m SBO.
