
Sovereign promotes two

Sovereign Capital has promoted investment team members Jose Rodriguez Cesenas and Neil Cox to directors.
Cesenas joined the UK buy-and-build specialist in 2004 upon the completion of an MBA at London Business School. He currently co-leads the firm's education sector team, has completed more than 15 investments and sits on several of the portfolio company boards as a non-executive director.
Prior to joining Sovereign, Cesenas supervised international operations and M&A transactions for the Banking & Securities commission in Mexico and worked at CDC Capital Partners (now Actis).
Neil Cox joined Sovereign in 2007 from NM Rothschild, where he worked in investment banking and mezzanine finance for six years. Since joining the private equity firm, Cox has completed eight support services transactions and currently sits on the board of three businesses.
