DFJ Esprit reaps 5x on TLC sale
European venture capital firm DFJ Esprit has reaped a money multiple of 5x on its trade sale of customer relationship management company TLC.
The business, which provides call centre and telemarketing solutions, was sold to international service company Serco for £55.9m.
The transaction, which was led by DFJ Esprit partner Paul Murray and CEO Simon Cook, represents the investor's fourth exit of 2011. Since January, it has sold portfolio company Lovefilm to amazon.com and The Cloud to BSkyB, as well as completing another as yet undisclosed sale in recent weeks.
