David Yates join's Advent's Operating Partner Programme
Advent International has appointed David Yates, former First Data International president, to an advisory position for the companyтs Operating Partner Programme.
His role will focus on investment opportunities within the financial services industry, zeroing in on payments and transaction processing worldwide.
Managing Director and head of Advent's financial services division, James Brocklebank, praised Yates's work as having created "value in payments, IT, and banking with a demonstrable track record in building global businesses."
Yates commented that he was "pleased to join the Advent team" and added his goal of combining "respective areas of expertise to find and execute new transactions in the sector."
Yates spent six years as president of First Data International where he managed all the non-US financial activities, which included merchant acquiring and transaction processing as well as ATM network solutions.
