Investec supports Lomond Capital
Investec Growth & Acquisition Finance has provided financing to Edinburgh-based property management company Lomond Capital.
According to reports in the Scottish press, the funding is believed to be worth between £10m and £15m.
The subordinated debt package will support Lomond's buy-and-build growth strategy, helping it acquire residential lettings and property management businesses in attractive regional markets.
Lomond manages more than 5,000 properties throughout Edinburgh and Aberdeen and has recently expanded into Manchester through its purchase of Penny Aston and Thornley Groves.
Stephen White and Shaun Mullin led the deal for Investec.
The funding highlights growing demand for exposure to estate agencies and property-related businesses following the two recent IPOs of private equity backed companies Foxtons and Countrywide.
